Our Mission
The Lee County Economic Development Authority strives to promote and facilitate economic growth and development in Lee County by persuading manufacturing, industrial, and commercial enterprises to locate or remain in Lee County. The Authority also works to further the economic well being of the citizens of Lee County by increasing their commerce and promoting their safety, health, welfare, and prosperity.
The EDA accomplishes these goals with the help of local, regional, and state economic development groups. Lee County has successfully secured industrial projects such as England Furniture Co., Paul’s Fan Company, and Synergy Biofuels. These expansions were credited to Lee County’s tri-state location and workforce.
Small Business development is also a priority of the Lee County EDA. The EDA has funding resources available for small businesses, as well as connections with Mountain Empire’s Small Business Development Center.
Any business, regardless of size, that is interested in doing business in Lee County should reach out to our Economic Development Office. We will be more than happy to discuss the advantages of Lee County and explore any opportunities that are available.
